Many Texas courts require a certified driving record along with your defensive driving certificate. Here's exactly how to get one, straight from the State of Texas.

Check if your court requires one
Not every court asks for a driving record. Confirm with the court listed on your citation before you order - some may only require your course completion certificate.

Go to the official Texas DPS portal
Use the Texas Department of Public Safety's online licensee manager to request your record. Bright Driving Safety does not sell or process driving records.

Verify your identity and pay the state fee
You'll confirm your identity using your Texas driver's license or ID information and pay the State of Texas a small fee.

Download and submit it with your certificate
Your record is available as a PDF right away. Submit it together with your Bright Driving Safety completion certificate to your court before the deadline.
