We also record the user's confirmation that the information is accurate. We do not request the user's date of birth during initial enrollment.

Website and technical information: our services and technology providers may receive IP addresses, browser and device information, page visits, timestamps, and service activity through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies.

Support information: messages, attachments, and other information the user chooses to provide when requesting assistance. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email.

We use information to provide course access; maintain accounts and learning records; process payments and refunds; deliver instruction; evaluate completion; prepare, deliver, correct, and verify certificates; provide support; protect accounts and service integrity; meet applicable reporting and recordkeeping obligations; and understand website use and advertising performance.

We do not send promotional emails or text messages. We may send communications needed to provide our services, such as account, payment, course, support, and certificate messages. This does not mean that our website is free of analytics or advertising technologies, which are described below.

Bright Safety LLC does not provide student personal information to other organizations for their independent marketing. We use the following categories of providers to operate, support, and promote Bright Driving Safety:

  • Database, authentication, and storage providers that process account information, learning records, and certificate-related information needed to provide the course.
  • Website and application hosting providers that process hosted information and technical logs needed to operate and maintain the services.
  • Video delivery, network, and security providers that process course content and technical information associated with access, playback, and protection of the services.
  • Email delivery providers that process recipient addresses, message content, attachments when included, and delivery information for account, purchase, support, and certificate communications.
  • Payment processing providers that process payment and transaction information to complete purchases, handle refunds and disputes, authenticate payments, prevent fraud, and meet financial and legal obligations.
  • Advertising and web analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) that process website interaction and device information to help us understand website use and measure advertising performance.

We limit the information we provide to what is needed for the relevant services. Providers process information under their applicable agreements with us and may use other providers to help deliver those services. Their roles and permitted processing depend on the service and applicable terms; some also process technical or account information for their own lawful operational, security, or legal purposes.

We may also disclose information as required by law or regulatory reporting, in response to lawful requests, or where otherwise permitted by law to address fraud or security threats. We may disclose information at the user's direction where lawful.

We use technologies necessary for functions such as signing in and maintaining a secure session. We also use advertising and web analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand website visits and interactions and measure advertising performance. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about website activity and the browser or device used to access the site and processes that information to provide analytics reports. Learn more about Google's processing at How Google uses information.

The user can manage cookies through the user's browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies can affect sign-in or course functions. Browser settings alone may not provide every privacy choice required by applicable law.

We retain student records for at least three years as required by 16 Texas Administrative Code §84.81(b). We may retain particular records longer when needed to meet another applicable legal obligation or preserve records subject to a legal hold. Course-access expiration and certificate-download expiration do not mean the underlying student records have been deleted.

After the applicable retention requirements have been satisfied, information that is no longer needed for a lawful purpose may be deleted or deidentified. The user may request deletion through support@brightdrivingsafety.com. We cannot delete records that we are legally required to retain. Financial and other records may be subject to different retention requirements.

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee complete security. Contact us promptly if the user believes the user's account or personal information has been misused.

Contact support@brightdrivingsafety.com to ask about the user's information or request access, correction, or deletion. We may need information to verify the user's identity. Applicable law, required records, and other lawful exceptions may limit what we can delete or change.

Our driving safety service is intended for people eligible to take the course and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the user believes a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact support@brightdrivingsafety.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action under applicable law.

If the user is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy and give permission for the user's enrollment and participation before the user begins. The user must independently meet the eligibility requirements for the user's intended use of the course.

Links to courts, insurers, Texas agencies, and other external websites lead to services with their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

We will identify the effective date of this policy and update it when our practices change. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where applicable law requires it.
