Choose the dedicated DSC form
Austin’s driver-safety request page provides English and Spanish forms. It lists a current Texas license or qualifying military status, current insurance, and no course for dismissal in the preceding 12 months among its conditions. Complete the form for your citation and follow its submission instructions before the initial appearance date.
Driving safety and deferral are separate choices
Austin also publishes a municipal-court deferral program. Do not assume that its conditions or submission clock are identical to your driving-safety order. Ask the clerk to confirm the final date and the certificate, record and affidavit requirements for the option actually granted. Keep the approval with your completion documents; merely enrolling does not resolve the citation.
