Notify the court before the appearance date
Crockett’s traffic-citations page says eligible drivers may seek dismissal through a safety course and must notify the court of that request by the appearance date. It does not say that buying a course or making an ordinary fine payment gives notice.
Coordinate the request with the clerk
The municipal court lists sessions on the first and third Wednesdays, from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Ask the clerk how to file the application before your particular deadline rather than assuming the next court session extends it. The published contact is 936-544-5156, extension 211.
Get the document checklist with permission
The city does not publish a full DSC packet on the reviewed pages. Request the license, insurance, affidavit, court-payment and driving-record requirements, along with the exact completion deadline and delivery method. City Hall is at 200 N 5th Street and closes for lunch.
