Take care of the request within 21 days
Fort Worth accepts driving-safety requests online, by mail or in person. After the standard window, a judge must approve the request. The city specifically tells applicants to wait for approval before taking a course or requesting a driving record.
Mail and counter requests
Use the city’s request instructions to assemble the plea, license, proof of insurance and court payment. The mail/in-person page also explains how to request court records, which is a separate service from obtaining a DPS driving record.
Keep the approval and completion dates together
The court’s driving-safety office can clarify your assigned deadline and packet at 817-392-8675. Ask where the certificate and supporting documents must be delivered and retain confirmation that the court received them.
Official instructions and forms
Check the linked court material for changes before filing. This is a Bright Driving Safety guide, not an official court website or an individual eligibility decision.
After court approval
Ready for the course?
Bright Driving Safety is TDLR Course Provider #CP1265. The online course is $25; court costs and driving-record fees are separate. Submit your certificate and all documents required by your court on time.
