Use the current bilingual packet

The county’s defensive-driving page links a 2026 requirements and affidavit packet in English and Spanish. Online requests are not accepted. A mailed request requires the notarized affidavit, certified Type 3A record, insurance, license or qualifying military evidence, and a money order payable to Montgomery County with the cause number. The packet lists $145 and excludes personal checks.

The record belongs in the initial mail packet

Do not wait until course completion to order the record when following JP3’s mail instructions. Its request-stage checklist includes it. Wait for court permission before taking the course.

Completion may be returned electronically

The affidavit starts the 90-day clock when fees are receipted. The signed court certificate and affidavit may be submitted in person, by mail, fax or email to the contacts on the packet. JP3 makes the driver responsible for verifying that proof was recorded and the charge resolved.
