Read the court agreement before enrolling
Plano provides a dedicated driving-safety page and a plea notification form. Ask for this dismissal option and obtain court permission; a driver-education class is not a substitute. The agreement states that the course fee is separate from the nonrefundable court payment.
Check the certificate’s court field
Plano’s agreement calls for the signed court copy identifying Collin County: Municipal Plano, plus a certified Type 3A driving record. It says the record need not be in hand before taking the approved course. Return both within 90 calendar days of payment and use the exact due date assigned to your case.
A balance can have a different meaning
The agreement explains that the remaining fine is waived after dismissal. Paying that balance after noncompliance instead asks the judge to impose judgment; contact the clerk if you are unsure what the portal balance represents.
