Request in writing or in person
Tyler’s FAQ requires a timely request, guilty or no-contest plea, current license and insurance naming you. Court costs and the administrative fee are due with the request; the FAQ says that payment does not have an extension or payment plan. The page also links an online request.
The order starts the completion period
Once the court signs the order, Tyler allows 90 days for the course and all paperwork. Return the certificate and DPS driving record by the last day specified. The FAQ says routine extensions are not granted and recommends keeping a court-file-marked certificate copy for at least three years.
If documents are late, contact the court
Tyler directs missed certificate or driving-record deadline questions to 903-531-1266. Its physical office is 813 N Broadway Avenue, with mail to PO Box 895, Tyler, TX 75710. Use the court’s current FAQ for the request link rather than a third-party payment shortcut.
